The LifeStream Behavioral Center has been serving the health care needs of residents in Lake and Sumter counties in Florida since 1969. The center offers a range of behavioral health care services for children, adolescents, adults and families. It specializes in issues, such as depression, substance abuse, anxiety, and attention deficit, bipolar and obsessive compulsive disorders. The LifeStream Behavioral Center also provides outpatient, psychiatric hospitalization, child welfare, and early education and intervention services. The center administers a family care management program that serves children who have been temporarily removed from their homes or who are at risk of being removed without intervention. The LifeStream Behavioral Center is accredited by The Joint Commission and serves more than 20,000 individuals.
