The Lakewood Ranch Stewardship District, established in 2005, is a special purpose form of local government located in Manatee and Sarasota Counties, Florida. Covering over 25,000 acres of land, the District focuses on the construction and acquisition of stormwater management improvements, landscaping, utilities improvements, and roadway improvements through the issuance of bonds.
With annual budgets for debt service and operations and maintenance, the District collects non-ad valorem assessments from property owners within its boundaries to support the amortization of bonds and fund its ongoing activities. Led by Executive Director Anne L. Ross and District Manager Jane Gaarlandt, the Lakewood Ranch Stewardship District is committed to serving the community and ensuring the efficient management of its infrastructure and property.
