The Kissimmee Utility Authority owns, operates and manages the municipal electric system established by the city of Kissimmee, Fla., in 1901. KUA is one of the five largest utility companies in Florida. Its more than 300 employees serve approximately 58,000 customers in Kissimmee and surrounding areas. The company owns and operates the Roy E. Hansel Generating Station and the Cane Island Power Park. It provides a variety of services, including utility services, KUA.net Internet services, phone services, home security plans and support, water and sewer refuse, street light outage reports, reports for utility theft and a good neighbor energy fund. The Kissimmee Utility Authority is headquartered in Kissimmee.
