Imagine Learning Center
School Environment W e strive to convey a message of warmth and a home-like feeling to students and parents who enter our school. We have an open door policy and welcome families to be involved in any way possible. The school is a community built by the children, families and teachers that inhabit it. We encourage families to develop a sense of ownership through active participation and communication. This type of home-school relationship strengthens family and cultural identity by providing relevant connections between school and the child's family and culture. The relationship begins from the family's first communication with the school. Healthy communication between the director, teachers, the child, and the family maintains progress, especially during times of transition into the program, from one class to the next, and out of the program. Some examples of communication that Imagine participates in besides everyday conversations are postings on the bulletin board, notes home, newsletters, phone calls, and conferences. Our classrooms and outdoor areas encourage investigation, social interaction and are flexible to respond to the demands of active learners. We offer a safe, developmentally appropriate, and healthy environment for children to thrive. Our low child-to-caregiver ratios encourage bonding and provide continuity of care.
