Nutrition Services is designed to promote better health among Hillsborough County's elderly citizens who are 60 and over and have the greatest economic need by providing nutritious noon meals each weekday, supplemented by nutrition education programs to encourage more healthful eating habits at home. Nutrition Services encourages seniors to attend its more than 20 nutrition centers located throughout the county. Attendees enjoy a hot noon meal and participate in activities planned by the Nutrition Services staff. The program also delivers meals to those seniors who are homebound and too frail to attend the centers. Kosher lunches of the Senior Citizens Nutrition and Activity Program are sponsored by the Hillsborough County Department of Aging Services and are served at the Jewish Towers Recreation Room (3001 W de Leon St). Lunches are served Monday through Friday, and menus are subjecct to change. Lunches are fee of charge.
