The Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition, also known as IHMC, is a nonprofit research facility of the Florida University System. It conducts research in the areas of knowledge modeling and sharing, adjustable autonomy, communication, intelligent data understanding and work practice simulation. The institute also focuses in concept mapping. The Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition provides the Science Saturdays program. In addition, it offers a range of community programs. The institute has received the Economic Development Award. The Florida Institute for Human & Machine Cognition has partnerships with Procter & Gamble, Sun Microsystems and IBM. Its CmapTools software enables users to construct, navigate and share knowledge models.
