Established in 1971, the Office for Farmworker Ministry is a community-based organization that offers services for farmworkers and immigrant families throughout Central Florida. It provides local, state and federal advocacy services for new legislations, as well as monitors compliance with existing state and federal laws. The organization conducts religious rituals and supports the development of Christian communities. The Office for Farmworker Ministry offers training related to parenting, self-esteem, discipline, leadership, communication and conflict resolution skills development. Additionally, it provides information and referral services regarding physical and financial assistance for families. The organization also offers educational advocacy services. The Office for Farmworker Ministry conducts group meetings, mentoring sessions and outings for youths. It organizes summer camps, as well as provides services for the victims of violence and drug and alcohol abuse. The organization is located in Apopka, Fla.
