Hernando-Pasco Hospice is a nonprofit community-based health care organization that provides skilled medical care to patients with terminal illness and compassionate support to their family members. Established in 1982, the organization provides hospice care to the residents of Pasco, Hernando and Citrus counties in Florida. It operates hospice care centers in New Port Richey, Dade City and Brooksville that offer specialized round-the-clock nursing services. Each of the hospice care centers has private, carpeted and furnished bedrooms. The patients receive regular visits from physicians, clergy and volunteers in these centers. Apart from its hospice care services, the Hernando-Pasco Hospice also conducts various community programs, such as the Children's Assistance Program, which is designed to provide free grief counseling to students between 5 to 18 years of age.
