The Florida Department of Children and Families works in partnership with Florida communities to help ensure the safety, well-being and self-sufficiency for the residents of the state. The department is responsible for the following programs: Adult Services, Child Care Services, Economic Self-sufficiency, Florida Abuse Hotline, Child Welfare and Community-Based Care (CBC), Domestic Violence, Mental Health Services and Children's Substance Abuse Services. The Florida Department of Children and Families plans, administers and delivers most of its services to target groups through the offices in several service districts and administrative zones. It is based in a regional office in Rockledge, Fla.
