G. Russell Huffman, MD, MPH is a highly experienced and board-certified orthopaedic surgeon specializing in Shoulder and Elbow surgery. With additional subspecialty board certification in orthopaedic sports medicine, Dr. Huffman is recognized as an expert in his field nationally and internationally. He has received numerous awards for his clinical expertise and teaching contributions, and has published extensively in peer-reviewed scientific publications. Dr. Huffman is dedicated to providing surgical solutions to complex shoulder and elbow problems, and is excited to serve the greater Central Florida community in his role with Rothman Orthopaedics and Advent Health.
Dr. Huffman received his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine and a Master's in Public Health from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of California in San Francisco, followed by fellowships in sports, shoulder, and elbow surgery at the University of Southern California and the Mayo Clinic. With his extensive training and expertise, Dr. Huffman offers a wide range of services including arthroscopy, tendon and ligament reconstructions, shoulder stabilization surgeries, and joint replacement and reconstructive surgeries of the shoulder and elbow.
