Established in 1959, Frances S. Tucker Elementary School is a magnet school that is a part of Miami-Dade County Public Schools, which is one of the largest school systems in Florida with a total enrollment of more than 353,000 students in over 400 educational institutions. The school teaches nearly 420 students in prekindergarten through fifth grade. Frances S. Tucker Elementary School also provides meal, transportation, health care and counseling services. It offers specialized courses in medical, environmental and diversified sciences as part of the MEDS Program.. In addition, the school conducts special classes in Spanish, gifted and talented education, art and music, computer technology, and health and physical education, as well as the English as a Second Language program. Located in Miami, Frances S. Tucker Elementary School has a staff of approximately 50 full-time certified teachers and paraprofessionals.
