FIU Stadium is a stadium located in Miami, Florida on the campus of Florida International University. FIU Stadium currently houses the NCAA team the FIU Panthers. The stadium opened as FIU Community Stadium on September 24, 1995 with the construction taking just over one year at a cost of just over $3 million, $4.5 million in present day dollars. The latest renovation was in 2012, which added over 2,000 seats.
The FIU Panthers are members of the C-USA Conference of the within National Collegiate Athletic Association. They are known by their team colors consisting of blue and gold. Their mascot is Roary the Panther. Past players include Antwan Barnes, Anthony Gaitor and Tourek Williams.
The stadium currently holds 20,000 fans. There are over 1,500 seats at the club level. Currently, it is the 118th largest stadium in the NCAA. The record fan attendance of 22,682 occurred in 2011 against Duke. In terms of parking there is on-campus parking and satellite parking lots both containing general and reserved spots.
Season tickets are available with prices starting around $100. Individual tickets start at about $15 depending on the game. Tickets are available through the team website and ticket exchanges.
