Michael Coyle joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor in July 2019, following a 21-year career in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. Michael understands the challenges and opportunities associated with life in the military and is committed to helping service members and their families get their financial lives squared away. Michael has a Master’s degree in Business Administration Finance from Delaware State University and a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration Finance & Risk Management from California State University, Sacramento. Additionally, he holds his Florida Real Estate license as a property owner landlord and entrepreneur. He holds Series 7 General Securities and Series 66 Investment Advisor Representative securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in 7 states including Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Tennessee, Virginia, Wyoming, and North Carolina. Understanding that the biggest obstacle to financial security for most people is their own behavior, Michael serves as a personal financial coach to clients, continually reinforcing positive financial behaviors. His thorough knowledge of military pay and benefits enables him to advise clients on how to navigate the Blended Retirement System, properly allocate their contributions to the Thrift Savings Plan (TSP) and take full advantage of other benefits. Michael will work with you to establish specific, meaningful goals that are consistent with your values and then develop a personalized financial plan to guide your pursuit of those goals. Active in his community, Michael is a member of the United States Air Force Reserves in his continued part-time service to our nation. He is assigned to Headquarters, United States Central Command, Tampa Florida, as an active United States Air Force Lieutenant Colonel with more than 25 total years of military service to our nation. In his free time, Michael enjoys running, spending time with family, and traveling.
