Kristen Garcia joined First Command Financial Services as a Financial Advisor after being an educator in the public school system for 13 years. She is excited about the opportunity to help people make the smart financial decisions that are essential to long-term financial security. Kristen has a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education (K-6) from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania. She holds Series 7 and 66 securities licenses plus life and health insurance licenses in several states. One of Kristen’s passions is coaching clients to pursue their goals by educating them on each of the financial cornerstones and by building comprehensive plans that are unique to each individual or family. She focuses on the importance of establishing an emergency fund, understanding military benefits, and wealth and risk management. Kristen incorporates investment strategies, retirement income planning, education funding solutions, and budgeting in her planning process. She loves to get to know clients on a personal level and be there each step of the way. In her free time, Kristen loves spending time with family, enjoying the sunshine, and working out. She is a member of South Tampa Chamber of Commerce, Tampa Bay Chamber of Commerce, and active in the military community. She supports Morale, Welfare, and Recreation events on base, as well as private organizations and veterans’ groups. Kristen is also an annual participant in Miles for Moffitt which is Tampa Bay’s premier community-wide movement of courage and hope, raising funds for life-saving cancer research.
