The Douglas Anderson School of the Arts offers a range academic and extracurricular options to students in grades 9 through 12. Established in 1985, its serves students from north Florida and south Georgia. The school conducts classes in dance, creative writing, instrumental and vocal music, performance and technical theatre, and film and video production. Its curriculum also includes language arts, math, science, social studies, world languages, and health and physical education. The school maintains a media center, as well as offers student services. It operates a parent-teacher-student association and school advisory council. The school administers visual and performing art programs. It is a part of Duval County Public Schools, which governs various educational institutions.
