The Utilities Department is administered by the City of Daytona Beach in Florida. The department is responsible for the operation and maintenance of the water and wastewater system in the city. It maintains a fleet of more than 120 lift stations and provides over 13 million gallons of treated water per day. The Utilities Department is also responsible for the monitoring of water quality in reservoirs, rivers and canals. The department s engineering division assists in the preparation of master plans for wastewater and reviewed water, as well as reviews subdivision plans. The Utilities Department additionally provides nearly 3 million gallons of wastewater effluent per day.
