I have worked for a corporate retail business for 13 years. My father decided that he would like to retire, so I opened my own store to make this possible. We decided to make this a family oriented business and to make the guests feel welcomed into our family. There is an emotional tie-in with our name: D = Dad, A = And, D's = Daughters General Store. Even though people may refer to us as a convenience store, we had chosen the term GENERAL because if there is anything a guest doesn't see but wishes we would carry, we could go outside that convenience store box and try to grant their wishes to make them feel welcomed and that we care.
