The Dade City Engineer's Office is responsible for the construction and maintenance of all city-owned property, including public buildings, streets, sidewalks, curbs and gutters, water mains, sewer lines, cemeteries and parks. It provides protection and maintenance of lakes, storm drains and wastewater collection systems within the city. The City of Dade City is located in eastern Pasco County, Fla., and has a population of more than 70,000 residents. The city is operated under a mayor and four commissioners form of government. The city has various full-time departments and volunteer committees, including health, finance office, fire department, parks and recreation, planning and zoning, police, public works and senior services.
