Founded in 1926, the Crooms Academy of Information Technology is a magnet school that provides various educational programs and information technology certifications. It offers academic programs in English, mathematics, foreign languages and science. The academy additionally has departments for social studies and wellness education. The Crooms Academy of Information Technology has a media center that provides various fiction and nonfiction books, online dictionaries, encyclopedias and translators. Its athletics department offers a variety of sports activities, such as basketball, bowling, cheerleading, cross country, golf, soccer, track and field and volleyball. The academy supports several clubs and organizations that include the Business Professionals of America, National Honors Society and student council, as well as drama, dance, beta, boosters and yearbook clubs. The Crooms Academy of Information Technology is located in Sanford, Fla., and is a part of Seminole County Public Schools.
