The Florida Commission on Ethics is responsible for investigating and issuing public reports for the communities of the state of Florida. The commission s legal section drafts legal opinions, orders and rules and proposes legislation for consideration. Its public information division provides information regarding the commission s practices and procedures and responds to inquiries for ethics laws. The Florida Commission on Ethics investigative section investigates complaints of violations of the state s ethics laws and writes narrative investigative reports. The commission s financial disclosure division handles and supervises the disclosure notification processes, receives and maintains disclosure forms and responds to inquiries about financial disclosure laws. The Florida Commission on Ethics is located in Tallahassee, Fla.
