Located in Fort Walton Beach, Fla., Choctawhatchee High School is a public school, and serves more than 1,500 students in grades nine though 12. The high school offers various special programs, including International Baccalaureate, dual enrollment and English for speakers of other languages. It offers various academic courses, such as arts, aviation, business technology, culinary arts, career technology, engineering, English and language arts, and family and consumer science. Its courses also include foreign languages, math, music, physical education, science and social studies. The high school provides variety of extracurricular activities, including band, chorus, visual arts, drama, and student and minority councils. Its sports programs include baseball, basketball, cheerleading, cross country, dance team, football, golf, soccer, softball, swimming, tennis, track, weightlifting, wrestling and volleyball. The high school is approved by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools.
