Donna began her counseling career by facilitating sand tray groups in a variety of school settings for a two-year period. During Donna's practicum experience, she introduced sand tray to a domestic violence shelter and outreach center. After receiving her Master's Degree in mental health, she continued her work at the domestic violence agency for four years. Donna facilitated group, individual, and family counseling sessions to victims of domestic violence utilizing play therapy, behavior modification, cognitive behavioral therapy, anger management, and mentoring in a therapeutic setting. She conducted child intakes, facilitated parenting groups, and provided community referrals.
