Joe & Laverne Hearns opened the first Great Lakes store in The Villages, FL a couple years after retiring from a small town in Northern Michigan. Darren Hearns took over the business in 1998 after Joe's passing, and has since grown Great Lakes from 1 Central Florida location to 4, offering carpet, area rugs, sheet vinyl, laminate, hardwood, cork, bamboo, ceramic tile and brick pavers, as well as carpet cleaning and floor care services.SpecialtiesGreat Lakes Carpet & Tile has been a family owned and operated specialty floor covering business in the Central Florida area since 1991.
