About Owners Brad and Colbi Congress are dedicated to giving everything that personal touch. Their hope is to make everyone's purchase a memorable one, reminiscent of days gone by when spending time with your jeweler was a special occasion. They have provided an ambience that is inviting, delightful and engaging. Their goal is to offer a timeless selection of beautiful, wearable jewelry at fair prices. They offer their clients the best of themselves and their expertise with personalized service in an atmosphere where dreams are realized. These principles and their commitment to the customer's satisfaction set Bradley's apart, in a time where true quality and personal service are not easily found. Bradley's Jewelers opened in 2003 just off Sanibel Island. In 2007, Bradley's relocated and expanded to the Park Shops at Andrea Lane in Fort Myers. It is family owned and operated, offering custom design, fine diamond and gemstone jewelry, bridal jewelry, estate jewelry and ancient coins (Greek, Roman and Spanish), also featuring an on-site gem lab for insurance appraisals and gemstone detection services along with on-site fine jewelry repair. The gallery also features dynamic displays of hand-blown glass, as well as internationally renowned contemporary fine paintings. Brad, co-founder and third generation jeweler, began his career in 1984 with his parents, Larry and Dee Congress, in their jewelry store on Sanibel. Brad excelled in gemology and became a (GIA) Graduate Gemologist in 1991. He furthered his studies becoming a Certified Gemologist (AGS) and a member of the Numismatic Association. Brad is considered to be a foremost authority in his field and is often the "go-to" person for challenging jewelry consultations, like identification of natural and synthetic diamonds. He is a strong proponent of self-education and his patrons are the benefactors. His expertise is often requested for area speaking engagements as well. Colbi, Brad's wife and business partner, was a television news producer when the couple met on a blind date in 1996. Born, raised and educated in Miami, she earned her bachelor of science in communications at the University of Miami in 1990. Colbi received her practical business education thanks to parents Marvin and Caron Leff who were also entrepreneurs. They are a constant source of inspiration, encouragement and counsel for Brad and Colbi. The combination of their collective personalities, experiences and talents gives this store its own brand of warmth and innovative panache! "We take time with our clients. What's fun about this business is seeing customers' eyes light up when we take their heirlooms and recreate them into something modern and fantastic! I hand sketch everything while getting customers' feedback. By allowing them to be part of the creative process we always achieve magnificent results!" says Brad. "Our showroom is a place where you can find anything form the affordable and tasteful to the exotic and extravagant! We offer jewelry price ranges respectable for all budgets and because we are owner operated, we are able to hand select our merchandise. Each fine piece is carefully chosen for its individuality, beauty and durability, " Colbi offers. Soon after the store's opening, the Congresses introduced the Sea Reel Life by Bradley's , their signature jewelry collection. The collection is an island-themed cast of lovable cartoon characters, with distinct personalities, that stand up for the environment. Each handmade character is cast in fourteen-karat yellow and white gold with platinum with hand-finished techniques and gemstones. Coloring books have even been created, teaching kids of all ages lessons about preserving wildlife and ecology. Each character comes with its own story.
