American Legion is a nationwide organization that works to support veterans and community programs. This local branch, Post 148, is situated just north of the Aliafia River. It sponsors community services and sports teams and hosts weekly activities, including bingo games, a flea market, live entrainment and steak shoots on Saturdays. The branch also offers hall rentals for parties, social events and celebrations. Rentals include a full bar and a stage for a band or DJ.
