Air America Flight Center is a Limited Liability Company ( LLC ) launched on June 23, 2004 in Deland Florida. Though small at inception but large in vision, the Flight Center provided aircraft rental, leasing, sales, and flight instruction from a fleet of five single-engine aircraft. Among our inventory were two-Cessna 152s, one-1980 Cessna 172P, and two new Cessna 172SPs. In September 2004, only four months after startup, the Flight Center received accreditation as a Cessna Pilot Center. The Center's base of operations then shifted on 1 October 2004 from Deland to Daytona Beach International Airport, Daytona Beach, Florida. This strategic move positioned the Center to better support a core customer Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University students at the nearby University campus Adding to our service array in 2005, we assisted Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in the development of training materials for technically advanced aircraft ( TAA ). Today, we contract with the University to train its staff and FAA inspectors. Since its beginning in 2004, the Flight Center's inventory of quality aircraft has grown dramatically. Now, our fleet consists of over 20 aircraft. Through this growth, the Flight Center is able to offer local customers the most advanced fleet for flight training. Also, our commitment to low overhead keeps the cost for services very low. Air America Flight Center is ever flexible and on the lookout for alternative methods to enlarge and engage its fleet. In early 2005, we provided imaging platforms and pilot services to a client with aerial imaging equipment but no operational capabilities. Since then, we have modified several aircraft to perform a variety of aerial imaging operations. Thus far, we have provided to our client base over two-thousand hours of imaging support. Although we continue to expand the flight school and aircraft rental phases of our operation, we strongly believe that aerial imaging requirements will expand significantly in the future. Currently, the Flight Center leases aircraft directly to pilots and other flight schools and provides services and aircraft for imagery professionals and corporations. Additionally, the Center is one of the few companies to offer low-time pilots an opportunity to build hours through flight instruction and aerial imaging support nationwide.
