The Advocacy Center for Persons with Disabilities is a nonprofit organization providing protection and advocacy services for people with disabilities in Florida. The center promotes and protects the human and legal rights of people with disabilities through information and advocacy and monitors the quality of residential and support services received by these individuals. The center s monitoring operation is executed on-site, talking with individuals receiving the services and reviewing information from other agencies and uses the gathered information to advocate and protect their civil and legal rights. The center s services are available through eight federally-funded programs and has offices in Tallahassee, Tampa and Hollywood, Fla.
