Founded in 1969, 4C, also known as Community Coordinated Care for Children is a nonprofit committee of Community Services Council by Orange County. It is operated by a board of directors, including president and administrative staff, as well as the Department of Family Resources, Child Care Resource Development, Early Childhood Education and Head Start. The community organizes various workshops and training classes. 4C offers a voluntary pre-kindergarten program for four years old children. Additionally, it publishes a magazine that provides information on various programs, including food and nutrition, child care workers and care providers. The community provides technical assistance services and maintains drama, computer, science, math, music and cooking centers. 4C maintains one of its locations in Orlando, Fla., and offers training classes in Collier, Hendry, Orange, Osceola and Seminole counties in Florida.
