Southmont Elementary School is a part of Randolph County Schools, which operates several elementary, middle and high schools. Southmont Elementary School serves students in prekindergarten through grade five. It supports a variety of extracurricular courses in art, music, and health and physical education. The school offers the English as a Second Language program and foreign language sessions in Spanish. In addition, Southmont Elementary School offers medical care; physical, occupational and speech therapies; and guidance and counseling services to students. Its staff includes classroom and resource teachers, specialists, assistants, nurses, therapists and social workers. The school also offers gifted and exceptional education.
