The Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars is headquartered in Washington, D.C. The center, established in 1968, focuses on the study of national and world affairs. It establishes and maintains a forum for free and informed dialogue. The center provides a link between various ideas and policies, and supports research, study, discussion and collaboration among individuals. It focuses on increasing contacts among scholars, policymakers and business leaders through its publishing, broadcasting and Internet programs. The center has supported research on a variety of topics in the areas of humanities and social sciences, and specialized studies in history, political science and international relations. It uses radio and television broadcasts, open meetings, print publications and multimedia outreach to inform public on several issues.
