HistoryHuza began as a small, black-owned and woman-owned and operated business in 2019 when the owner, Malaika Lubega, began helping family and friends completely declutter, organize, and decorate their spaces. She saw the peace, joy, and clarity her service afforded them, and wanted to share those transformations in mental health with more people. Malaika has since become a Professional Organizer and Interior Decorator based in the DMV metro area, and travels beyond the metro area if needed. She is a proud member of the National Association Black Professional Organizers (NABPO) and also the National Association of Productivity & Organizing (NAPO). She is currently finishing up her certification in Home Staging so she can offer this service in the near future. She was featured in 2020 on The Home Edit website as a top-notch Black-Owned Personal and Home Organizer.SpecialtiesHuza means to bring about togetherness, to harmonize.
