Founded in 1957, the National Children's Center is a nonprofit organization that offers a variety of community-based services for more than 600 infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities in the District of Columbia and Maryland. It provides a range of early intervention, school, employment and adult day programs. The organization serves children who are suffering from cerebral palsy, autism, Down syndrome and brain injuries. The National Children's Center has a staff of over 450 employees. It publishes the NCC Insider newsletter quarterly. The organization offers a variety of residential services that include housekeeping and home care. The National Children's Center accepts donations through the United Way.
