Janney Elementary School
Janney Elementary School, founded in 1925, enrolls more than 400 students in prekindergarten through grade six. Located in Washington, D.C., its curriculum includes English, language arts, mathematics, social studies, science, art, music, computer technology and physical education. It has a parent-teacher association that involves parents in various educational activities of the school. It offers various recreational activities, including art and chess clubs, book buddies, community service committee, recorder club and student council. It provides a variety of sports activities, such as football, cross-country, cheerleading, wrestling, baseball, basketball, volleyball, softball, swimming, and track and field. Additionally, it offers cafeteria service to its students.
