History

Started in 2003 by Mt Pleasant neighbor Nina Planck, the market was built and grown to its current state of greatness by Robin Shuster, now of 14th & U and Bloomingdale Farmers' Markets. Run 2008-2012 by Rebbie Higgins.

Specialties

Seasonal produce, grass-fed meats, baked goods, prepared foods, compost collection, live music, free bike clinic and great neighbors!

Overall a good experience, although small without the diversity of the nearby Columbia Heights Farmer's Market. I went recently and enjoyed seeing the taco and Turkish food stands.

A wonderful farmers market. Small buck filled with good things in really wonderful neighborhood. Visit the market, visit the neighborhood, then drive through rock Creek Park. Brings peace to the soul.
