Friends of Francis Field (FFF) is a non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing the recreational facility and park located in the West End neighborhood of Washington, D.C. Since its establishment in 1998, FFF has made significant improvements to Francis Field, including the removal of the chain-link fence, installation of benches, sidewalks, safety lighting, and landscaping. Through a public-private partnership with the District of Columbia's Department of Parks and Recreation, FFF continues to fund and implement projects to further enhance the field for the community's enjoyment.
Managed by a five-member Board of Directors, FFF welcomes members from the general public who are interested in supporting their mission. With an annual membership fee of $10, individuals can participate in volunteer activities and attend the organization's annual meeting. FFF's current focus is on implementing a landscape plan and making improvements to the Rebecca Coder Park, a passive space within Francis Field. Through their dedication and partnerships, FFF strives to create a vibrant and inviting recreational space for residents and visitors alike.
