Folger Shakespeare Library is a research center on Shakespeare. It has a collection of Shakespeare writings, Renaissance books, manuscripts and artworks. It organizes a wide range of scholarly and public programs. It organizes plays, concerts, literary readings, family activities and exhibitions. The center also organizes special programs and activities for students in grades kindergarten through 12, colleges and teachers. It also allows advanced scholars to participate in a variety of the Folger Institute seminars and colloquia. Its major publications include the Shakespeare editions and the journal Shakespeare Quarterly. It is a member of the Independent Research Libraries Association, the National Humanities Alliance and the Cultural Alliance of Greater Washington. The center is also an associate member of the American Council of Learned Societies. Folger Shakespeare Library is located in Washington, D.C.
