Divine Word House of Studies, located in Washington D.C., was established in 1950 by the Society of the Divine Word to provide housing for Divine Word missionaries studying at the Catholic University of America. Over the years, the complex expanded to accommodate the growing number of students, and in 1960, the Society purchased a property to build Divine Word College. Although the college did not offer classes or degrees, it served as a residence for Divine Word Missionaries pursuing graduate studies and also provided accommodations for diocesan and religious priests and Brothers. Today, Divine Word House of Studies continues to be a place for missionaries to live while pursuing their mission assignments.
