The Center for American Progress, headquartered in Washington, D.C., is a nonpartisan research center dedicated to improving the lives of Americans through ideas and action. It creates a long-term progressive vision for America that policy makers, thought leaders and activists can use to shape the national debate and pass laws that make a difference. It explores important issues faced by the United States and the world through dialog with leaders, thinkers and citizens. It develops new ideas, generates debate and develops a point of view on which to take a stand.
