In addition, its American Medical Association Alliance is one of the largest organizations that represents family of medicine in the United States. The association offers legislative advocacy support for physician issues, publications and resources to support community health initiatives. The American Medical Association operates the Litigation Center, which is an unincorporated association that enhances the policies of the association through the American legal system, including courts, administrative agencies and alternative dispute bodies. It maintains a location in Washington, D.C.
