HistorySilas Dukes was building agricultural buildings in the 50's and early 60's. He kept his building materials in the back yard. While Silas was at work, people from the neighborhood would come to his house wanting to buy building materials. Silas' wife Mae Dukes would sell the lumber at a fair price.
