The Insurance Commissioner's Office is a part of the Delaware Insurance Department, which is administered by the state of Delaware. The office is responsible for regulating captive insurance companies. Its company examination, rehabilitation and guaranty bureau reviews applications for doing businesses in the state. In addition, the bureau rehabilitates and liquidates financially impaired insurers. The Insurance Commissioner's Office analyzes and assesses the financial condition of various insurance companies. The office also maintains a consumer services and investigations division that assists individuals in resolving conflicts with insurance companies and health coverage providers. The division offers civil litigation support services for resolving disputed consumer claims.
