The Wilton Jewish Center, also known as the WJC or Nefesh Yehudi (which means “Jewish soul” in Hebrew) teaches the “Four Worlds” of well-being: physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual.
WJC events are open to Jews and gentiles alike, since one of the WJC’s top priorities is “tikkun olam” (literally “repairing the world” in Hebrew). WJC programs include Rosh Chodesh (monthly new moon celebrations), meditation workshops, musical services and performances, an examination of the spirituality of music called “Shi’ur b’Shir” (a “Lesson in Song” in Hebrew), and adult and teen education in the Torah and Talmud.
WJC Spiritual leader Batya Diamond also serves on the board of the Wilton Education Foundation and can be reached at 203-762-7089.
