The Village Pre-School has been open to Bethel's youngest community members since 1971. The early childhood curriculum goal is for children to become enthusiastic learners. The school offers five classes for children ages 3 to 5. There are five staff members, each specializing in a different topic—from art and fine motor skills to physical fitness and movement. In addition to the daily songs, poems and fingerplays we teach the children, we have a wonderful music specialist who works with them several times a month. All teachers have experience in early childhood education and are trained in first aid and CPR.
Although it's owned and sponsored by the Bethel United Methodist Church, which is at the same location, the pre-school is open to all children. Since its founding, The Village Pre-School has embraced children's learning by creating wonderful friendships and lasting memories, while providing a firm educational foundation.
