Founded in 1861, Turn of River Presbyterian Church serves a congregation of 50 members and offers a Sunday worship service and various music and youth programs.
Headed by James K. Mahan, Turn of River has created a unique way to teach its younger members about the Bible. The Presbyterian Puppet Players features elementary and middle school students performing puppet shows to present a religious message. The Presbyterian Women's Organization holds an annual Hollyfair during the first weekend of December on the church grounds where handmade crafts and ornaments can be purchased.
Turn of River also shares its buildling with Steps Dance Studio, a for-profit dance school for elementary and middle school children.
