Trout Unlimited - Nutmeg Chapter #217, a non-profit organization based in Fairfield, is dedicated to conserving, protecting and restoring North America's coldwater fisheries and their watersheds.
Trout Unlimited - Nutmeg Chapter #217 is composed of more than 350 members from Fairfield, Westport, Weston, Easton, Trumbull, Bridgeport, Redding, Monroe, Shelton, Stratford and Milford.
The chapter meets at 7:30 p.m. on the third Tuesday of each month, from September through May, at Fayerweather Yacht Club, 51 Brewster St., Bridgeport, unless otherwise noted on the chapter's website.
Memberships are now being offered at $17.50 - half the normal cost - and include "Nutmeg Notes," the chapter's newsletter; a Trout Unlimited calendar and membership card; discounts on car rentals and hotels; personalized Trout Unlimited address labels; a Trout Unlimited decal; and four issues of "Trout," the chapter's color magazine, which features conservation news, updated Trout Unlimited activities, grassroots' success stories and fishing destinations.
Trout Unlimited - Nutmeg Chapter #217's monthly meetings are free and open to the public, and doors open at 7 p.m.
