The fire department provides fire and rescue service as well as emergency response. The department is run by Chief Charles Flynn, who has held the position since 2012. The main station on Mountain Road houses a fire engine, a ladder, a rescue truck and a tanker, as well as the office of town fire marshal. The department encourages volunteers.
