Mystic Middle School's motto is "you matter here." The school serves 460 students in grades 5-8. Mystic Middle School was remodeled in 1999. Stafford W. Thomas Jr. is principal. The middle school also is home to the Crickets, and the May/Junes two academic programs for students in grades 5 thru 7. The Crickets consist of students in grades 6 and 7 and in addition to the public school curriculum place an emphasis group work, and problem solving skills. The May/Junes consist of students in grades 5 and 6 and in addition to the curriculum focus on learning through group work, and interdisciplinary programs.
