Located in Bridgeport and a subsidiary of St. Vincent’s Health Services, which include St. Vincent’s Behavioral Health Services, Westport Campus, St. Vincent’s College, St. Vincent’s Special Needs Services and St. Vincent’s Medical Center Foundation, St. Vincent’s Medical Center is a 473 bed community teaching and referral hospital that provides a wide variety of inpatient and outpatient services. St. Vincent's active medical staff of more than 700 physicians represent a wide range of more than 50 specialty and sub-specialty medical and surgical disciplines including cardiology and cancer services, surgery, orthopedics, women's imaging services, emergency and trauma services, diagnostics, senior health, behavioral health and more.
St. Vincent's is a member of Catholic non-profit health care system Ascension Health and has academic partnerships with three medical schools, including New York Medical College and University of Connecticut School of Medicine. Recently, St. Vincent's was named the academic medical center in partnership with Quinnipiac University School of Medicine.
The Medical Center also participates in international research programs and has a Level II trauma center and a 76 bed inpatient psychiatric facility in Westport.
