The Southeastern Regional Action Council was created by the state legislature in 1989. It's a non-profit group whose mission is to help cities and towns deal with addiction of all kinds, at the local level.
SERAC does not provide direct help for addiction, but helps teach and implement ways of dealing with and minimizing or avoiding addition. Its territory includes 20 towns, from Stonington to the Lymes, to Voluntown and Sprague.
