Great for rail enthusiasts AND kids! We tend to visit a few times a year. The ride down to short beach and a stop at the "yard" on the way back. Always a good time!

Eli Whitney Museum

Situated on historic grounds once owned by Eli Whitney, this is an experimental workshop and museum located below the Mill River Waterfall. The museum hosts a variety of exhibits and on-going projects such as the Leonardo Challenge and Holiday Trains. The workshop offers programs for children and adult that inspire creation and invention through woodworking and other mediums. Birthday parties here allow the birthday boy or girl to pick the project that guests will create.

Hyland House

Built in 1690, this historic landmark is an excellent example of early colonial architecture. It was saved from demolition and underwent a thorough restoration from 1916 to 1918. It is open to the public as a living museum that transports visitors back to early New England.
